Ho' Oponopono: Beware of this Powerful Teaching! with Joe Vitale | Next Level Soul

I bought his Ho'Oponnopono program. Didnt like it. I mean, I didn't like the way it is explained.
I have some understanding of the practice from a different perspective.
I absolutely detest the nursery rythme song he created to teach that version of Ho'Oponnopono. I know people love it for its simplicity, the song does make it easy for people to remember the Sequence of the Mantra, but actually the sequence is not the most critical, just as the tapping points & the sequence you tap are not critical, its going through the steps mindfully, with best of intentions. Seems so shallow the way they present this Hawaiian spiritual practice of setting the house right.
I mean it is not incorrect, but I guess I don't like the style of delivery. I do really dislike the nursery rythme song though. It just grates me the wrong way.
Gonna Rant here: Kinda like the Americanization of Hawaiian music in the 30, 40, 50's when they were marketing the Hawaii as an exotic vacation destination, as is still done today. Not Hawaii a nation we decided to take over and loot its natural resources and cultural richness for our own financial gain and the devistation of it's people and culture.
It is true that it does no good to react badly to things you find offensive, so if you can't find a kind way to respond, it is better not to respond at all.
By the way, Vitale misrepresents some of the facts about his divorce. ) He was not homeless, He was given options about how he moved out of Barbara's house she owned before marrying him. 2) Barabara filed for the divorce, not him. 3) She had to pay him a settlement to get out of their marraige contract, big $$ to the average person.
So, after doing some research on his representation of the last 3 years being the hardest of his life. His integrity continues to be in question for me. Still seems a Mindset guru opportunist to me.
I am sorry for his losses. I have lost both my parents, and it is hard in the second half of life to go through a breakup-been there. Not saying everything he says is a lie, just putting a better spin on some of it.
He has done some great work, bringing great practices and ideas forward, for others to partake of, which is great, but yay, I will just stop.
Who am I to judge, he is probably doing the best he can, like the rest of us imperfect humans.

Mindset is everything. There is nothing "out there" that is coming in to save you, unless it's information like Joe's to help you become empowered. That is how I became empowered in my own life–by going in and doing the work. Our thoughts are what keep us stuck, because most of them are lies that we perpetuate. I practice watching my thoughts super closely like I would watch a 2 year old by a swimming pool. If people truly understood how powerful they are, they would not allow another minute of misinformation or negative paradigms to influence their lives. I asked my father once how he survived WWII in Poland and he said, "mind is everything–what you think will either keep you alive or cause your death." Thanks for an inspiring interview. So many need to hear this stuff and is what I spread in my own work.

I've read Joe's books around hooponopono which opened the door for me to understand that the outside world is an illusion. Along the same lines, Tina Spalding teaches A Course in Miracles (ACIM) that includes channeled info, which is all about the outside world being an illusion But her teachings of ACIM makes the information in that book understandable, which is not easy to understand at all. Once you understand this concept that its your perceptions that keep you trapped, everything changes. Also what helped me to change my programming was learning NLP.

Thanks Alexi for the caliber of people you interview. Joe Vitale was one of my first teachers whose books i read. At the time he was among the very few who was teaching basically "mindset" adjustment and raised the bar on what was possible. I'm glad that Joe is still out there spreading the word.

A great interview! I really loved Joe's honesty. One of the many valuable things from this talk was his explanation of Ho'oponopono, which was very different than the way I heard it. His way makes so much sense. He has wonderful dimples, too.

I love this 💗 The practice fits perfectly with my understanding of dealing with “triggers”…i.e. it wouldn’t even be a trigger if I didn’t believe it in some way…so find what belief or data has been activated and change it to one that is true and loving 💗

This life is like a Divine game of hide and seek. We have hidden our truth from ourselves at the moment of birth, and we spend the rest of our lives seeking that which we forgot – That We Are The Divine. Every single one of us! It's about reclaiming our true selves and our truth, through the experiences of life.
