Yours thought kill the world
The three decisions that control your destiny are:
1. Your decisions about what to focus on.
2. Your decisions about what things mean to you.
3. Your decisions about what to do to create the results you desire.
You see, it's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.
Cool
This talk is kind of out of touch. Richard didn’t really consider the exclusivities of his study. Every successful person he mentions is a straight white cis person. Only two of them are women. While their successes shouldn’t be discounted, you can’t deny that they probably had a largely different experience with achieving status and success in their lines of work compared to minorities in the same fields trying to do the same things. Just because someone might love their work doesn’t mean money will come naturally, it’s a man made system with inherent systemic biases. Hiring biases are still an issue in 2022, and undoubtedly were worse in 2007 seeing as it was going largely unaddressed by those in power. The points also repeat themselves. Work, focus, push and persist all mean the same thing: work tirelessly and consistently on your craft. You can’t really focus on one of those points and unintentionally skip out on the other three, you’d still be doing all four. “Serve” is kind of stupid, although I admit my dislike of that point is less objective. I don’t think a lot of billionaires/millionaires “serve” the people. The people serve a system that benefits the rich. If the rich weren’t the ultimate beneficiaries of that system, they wouldn’t be rich.
The secret for success in 8 words: Have rich parents and then follow their steps.

very good
Lately I’ve been felling like a loser, I dream so high, but I dont seem to work for it. And I started to reflect on life and how we are going to go through this only once. Im still 16, I got a long path to go through and if I follow these steps I believe I can go anywhere. I have so many dreams and it’s finally time to run after them. I want to pursue my success from now on til the day I die. In theory it seems kinda easy to just keep following these 8 steps, but I know it’s extremely hard, guess that’s what separates successful and non successful people, dedication and believing in your dream. I’ll be happy to hear some advice from anyone on this comment section. That’s it my journey starts now, April 16th. Thx
