these can be modded to play the older oyua games so you can see why it failed. I have all the emulators on mine and use it as a retro rom player. Its a cool piece of kit.

I think the PlayStation TV was a much better idea, unfortunately Sony decided to hide it so it wouldn't hurt PS4's sales.

The center part of the controller is a touch pad that moves a cursor around too.

Freemium isn't cool at all. First the players are made addiced to a game, and when they have put enough time in it, they finally want all that content that is bahind the pay wall and will start with doing their first purchase. The second purchase is much easier once the ice has been broken. And rather sooner than later, they will have put enough time and money in a game for not wanting to stop anymore, and the paying continues on and on. Freemium products are intentionally optimized to abuse weaknesses and even sickness of the human mind, like gambling addiction. That's thee wll known concept behind this model.
In the end many will have paid insane amounts of money, which would have been sufficient for buying a real console or even PC and some really good games – instead of the Freemium crap, wich even after spending a lot of money, cannot reach a real game.

Don't try to compete with triple A consoles out of the blue 😂

Reputation takes time and they should've took it slowly.

The Ouya was a neat little console, but I think the thing that killed it was the lack of major third party support and the controller itself.
