Holographic pyramid creates a world on your table – BBC Click

Compartir en:

An interactive holographic display that can create 3D digital worlds inside a special pyramid shaped display has raised more than four times its crowdfunding target. The device, developed by Vancouver based H+Technology, sits on a table top and can be viewed from numerous different angles. Using a smartphone or tablet users can interact with 3D objects ‘inside’ the pyramid. The company hopes that the device will help people to interact with technology more naturally in groups, rather than alone. BBC Click’s Stephen Beckett spoke to co-founder Dhruv Adhia about the project.

10 WORST Shark Tank SCAMS!
Welcome to Parabolic ! Here are 10 Times sharks from shark tank called out pyramid schemes
Real estate crowdfunding may seem like a promising way for regular people to invest in property, but it can also be a breeding ground for pyramid schemes. This was the case with Tycoon Real Estate, a company that pitched itself on Shark Tank as a way for everyday investors to get in on the real estate game. The founder and CEO, Aaron McDaniel, had a vision for a platform that would connect investors with real estate projects seeking funding. However, the Sharks were skeptical of the business model and McDaniel’s credibility.

If you thought Shark Tank had seen it all, think again. Mark Sullivan appeared on the show with a machine he claimed would generate electricity and create gold, all from saltwater and industrial wastewater. Yes, you read that right. The Sullivan Generator was supposed to use the Earth’s rotation to create a steam vortex that would turn turbines and produce clean, cheap energy, and mineral deposits. It was an ambitious claim, to say the least. But that’s not even the craziest part. Mark hadn’t built a full-scale version of his invention yet, and he was still in the concept phase. In other words, he had no proof that his machine would work. Unsurprisingly, the sharks turned down his million ask for 10% equity in his idea. And we’re all grateful for that decision because who knows what kind of disaster the Sullivan Generator could have caused if it had ever been built.
Stick around for part 2 where we cover the next times sharks from shark tanks called out pyramid schemes! Thanks for watchin and see you next time!

The main issues with this (As someone who has made a mini version of this) is that the image isn't going to be that large, and it isn't going to be that clear (needs to be relatively dark). What's more concerning is that all of the images shown are CGI – that isn't the real hologram, because of the issues I mentioned. But also because the early image of the man in the suit (on some sort of call) being displayed, that isn't how the technology works – you would see him from the front on all sides (unless it was literally a video of his side, which you would then see his side, from any angle). So the part where he says it 'renders from multiple views' is an outright lie – it is the ONE image that you can see from all angles; it's just 1 video split into 4 pieces – like a painting with eyes that follows you around the room.
He's trying to oversell and over complicate it – it's so simple, you can do it right now, here…https://youtu.be/7YWTtCsvgvg
Be warned, this is heading towards scam territory – it would work, just no where near this well.

This guy: "It has opticals blabla.. for each viewer its individual perspective blabla.. " What a liar. It's nothing but a REFLECTION OF A SCREEN IN GLASS!!!

  5. Yoctopory

They deliberately make it look like there were 3D images in mid air. That's a lie that borders on deception of the customer.

  6. davidsirmons

Thoughts on interconnection with 3d engineering ala solidworks?

  7. Nyte_Lite

    Props for the Bonobo track.

This is also too cool of a product.

If we could play a mini-game platform like Mario Party or Fusion Frenzy, this would be super fun for group play!

I can't believe the phenomenal amount of "experts" ready to put something down and not create anything themselves!!

Rolodoc is brilliant. Its the same shit that universities have set up. You sell it to a hospital who has all yheir doctors and whoever else create accounts and now there is a portal for patients to communicate to doctors. This network crap is set up every where

  13. Beetle Kahn

Yo WTF is this video? 😂 The editing is all over the place and some of the info is just plain wrong!

  14. Ryan McCarthy

The thing is, with RoloDoc, it's so close to being a successful business model. I think we've all seen those commercials for ZocDoc which basically have the same idea of connecting people with doctors

  15. Alicia Green

Maybe in a hundred years somebody might be willing to put the latest technology surgically in their ear. Can't see it happening anytime soon

  16. Theodor K

Don’t talk over the videos… don’t wanna listen to your voice

  17. Bib Bicus

The five biggest shark tank scams are the 5 "sharks" in the chairs.

  18. Sachin Raghavan

I would never go on the show even if I was smart enough. Not worth the humiliation.

  19. Zebulization

I have read at least two science fiction stories featuring various methods for extracting metals from sea water. The authors did their research and found that, in theory, you could use a machine about the size of a cruise ship and with non-stop water flow you could collect a pound of gold in about eighty years. Of course, maintaining such a machine for eighty years would cost far more money than that pitiful amount of gold.

  20. Rippin It Up With Jamie

The only issue I have with any kind of show like this is its ok being honest with people, but I struggle with anyone tearing people down and making others feel like crap no matter how right or wrong anyone is.

So far my experience with Astratrusthq on the internet has been nothing but amazing! Huge shoutout to Nadav who has been assisting in my case. He's determined, resourceful, very professional and I always get prompt responses to all of my queries. He is very open to all my concerns, gave me assurance I needed in every step of the way. Although my case is still in progress (It's only been 3 weeks), I believe in Nadav! Keep up the great work! You rock!👍
