Wow, this was incredibly helpful. I just started my Kickstarter/game develop career. Recently discovered BGG and I’m wondering why I didn’t know about this the entire time. Now I need to catch up! Haha great video, see you on board game geek!
This is an amazing video. I know that I am way late, but I really appreciate these videos! I am hoping to start a Kickstarter project for my board game one day, and all of your content is really, truly helpful. Awesome stuff.
Loving this video series… I Binge watched most of it last night.
I wanted to ask you a question about building a community and crowd: You said (and i've seen it all over the place) that one should use a personal account for interacting and getting known (be it interacting on groups and helping people out, posting to social media, and all that), because people find it easier to interact with a person.
From what I can see, your page is designed around a blog (your personal blog), and most of your interactions happen through your personal accounts, even though you HAVE a company social media array (FB, Twitter and all that).
My question is to be clear: I should do most of my interactions a build buzz from a personal account, but still have a company account as well for specific bussines info, right?
Also i'd like to thank you for the plethora of information you put on your blog and all your videos.
Thanks Jamey! I notice that these are all actions that can be performed via the web and I’m sure you’ll agree that meeting with your community in person is the best way to create that relationship. You mentioned in the past that you are an introvert and as such, it might feel more convenient to interact digitally. I’d particularly value your tips to better connect with your community in person, from the view point of an introvert, as I am sure you are also very successful at doing so.
Hey Jamey, thanks for the video! They are always informative, and helpful. Per your suggestion, I am commenting on this Youtube video, ha! Well, the reason being that I have never commented on one in my life before, and I never considered it, though it is a great idea. Thanks -Austin Rice
You're the best, honestly! Videos like the last couple you've been uploading and Toucan Play That Game's YouTuber diaries are so inspiring and motivational. The willingness to share your own knowledge and insights is admirable. Thank you, truly, for what you do!
