Lesko is exactly what he says at the outset of this video; He supposedly got his start when he was contracted to put together a report on potato chip consumption in the US. What he says he did was go to the Agriculture Department and found the man there that was tasked with gathering potato info in the country for the government; he freely said that all he then did was take the government's name off the report(s) and put his own on them. Much of what he says here is exactly the same type of material he used back when his first paperback book hit the world nearly 50 years ago.

I first encountered him back in the 1970s when he was shilling his book in infomercials that supposedly showed people how to get grants and the like from the government. If you got sucked in by the book, you soon found that many of the programs he was talking about had ended some time before or had other limitations that blocked you.

Today, he's still doing the same schtick.

Lesko, I want to do a start up but it seems like there are no clear guidelines what's right and wrong when trying to do one. I have a really great idea, but I just don't want it to fall into the wrong hands. Do you have advice about starting a tech startup?
